Einigermaßen unterhaltsame Story, die aber mehr Krimi als Scifi ist

Fast interessanter als die Story fand ich die Darstellung der Erdengesellschaft.

Mit 8 Millarden(!) ist die Erde kritisch überbevölkert. Der Kapitalismus wurde abgeschafft und durch eine Art fluides Kastensystem mit Privileg-Rating abhängig vom Beruf ersetzt. Das regelt den Zugang zu Gütern, von der Qualität des Essens über Wohnung bis zur Erlaubnis Kinder zu haben. Die ständige Angst vor De-Privilegisierung, zusammen mit der stärkeren Nutzung von Robotern (die ersteres wiederum verstärkt) führt zu starken sozialen Unruhen und Ressentiments gegenüber Robotern und den Spacern. Diese haben eine komplett roboterbasierte Wirtschaft und können aufgrund der vergleichsweise geringen Bevölkerung einen großen Wohlstand genießen.

Analog zu den historischen Maschinenstürmern, entlädt sich die berechtige Wut nicht etwa gegen das dystopische Kastensystem, sondern gegen Roboter. Ich glaube, Marx hätte da einiges dazu zu sagen.
